French language:

We had a great day at electives yesterday. The weather and snow conditions were perfect for the slopes:)

This morning we worked on imparfait and passe compose verbs and when to apply each one. Students have homework conjugating passe compose verbs that is due tomorrow. I also gave them a list of 50 passe compose verbs for a reference (also posted in Links).

Because of the gr7&8 day at GBSS on Wednesday, March 2, the gr7 Concours class presentations will be on Tuesday, March 1.

In the event that buses are cancelled tomorrow, students are to work on their Concours speeches and science fair projects. Complete memorization is not necessary; students can refer to cue cards. Gr7 science fair projects are due in two weeks...

Math:

We started a new unit on measurement today. The students reviewed metric units of measurement (mm, cm, dm, m, Dm, and km) and recalled how to convert between them. The grade 6's worked on calculating the perimeter of polygons while the grade 7s worked on calculating the area of parallelograms.

English Language:

We started reading chapter 10 of LOTF. Then the students had a work period to work on developing their persuasive writing pieces.

Homework:

Finish reading chapter 10 of  LOTF for Friday.
