French language:

In visual arts this term, students will develop cultural awareness and learn about and reproduce famous works of art. This morning, they learned about Norval Morrisseau. He is a First Nations artist from North Bay, famous for his Ojibwa paintings using an x-ray technique. We are working on reproducing some of his work.

Math;

Today the students worked in small groups to solve problems that involved calculating the perimeter and area of various quadrilaterals (and in some cases, triangles).

English Language:

The LOTF chapter 10 content quiz was deferred until Monday (cough, sniffle). Instead, the students worked on a) reading chapter 10, b) their persuasive writing pieces, or c) their French "concours" assignment. We finished off the day with some group Yoga.

Have a great weekend!
