French language:

We started the day playing drama games with the other French immersion class. Then we rehearsed our dance. Next, we started guided reading novels, Jean Baptiste, coureurs des bois, and La valise de Hana with gr6 & gr7, respectively. Finally we did some grammar. We worked on when to place adjectives before or after nouns.

This afternoon, gr7's started their next science unit on structures while gr6's learned about the properties of air. The gr6's completed 3 experiments, learning that hot air rises and air takes up space. The gr7's learned about the 3 types of structures: frame, skeleton, & solid and completed experiments to learn about the centre of gravity.

I returned rubrics for the Jeanne d'Arc role play, gr6 First nation treaty presentation, and gr7 reformist vs conservative debate.

The Dance Extravaganza was from 12-1:15pm. Our dance looked great. Please have your child here at 6:45pm tonight.

Lastly, students really want to have a class holiday party and a <$10 gift exchange this Thursday (some students are away this Friday). Please let me know if this is a problem. Thank you.
