Math:
We started off the period exploring/reviewing the relationship between metric units of mass (mg, g, kg, t). The grade 6's then worked on some questions from the textbook while the 7's worked on calculating the perimeter and area of combined figures. The students worked on their apartment architect challenge for the last part of the period.
English Language:
The students worked on their word association and oral communication skills by creating and playing a custom game of "Taboo." Each team had to create the clue cards (including the taboo words) for the opposing team. The played several rounds and were deadlocked in a tie when the bell went. We will finish up tomorrow.
