(Sorry for the late post. We encountered some minor technical difficulties.)
French Language:
In French, Gr. 6 students learned how technology connects Canada with the world. They also read another chapter of "Jean Baptiste." Gr. 7's read about climate and vegetation patterns, as well as another chapter of "La Valise de Hana."

Math:
Today in math we moved on from 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional forms of measurement. The students took down a note on volume and we explored the standard algorithm for determining volume of a regular right prism (area of base x height). The students then worked with manipulatives (cm snap cubes) to create rectangular prisms of specified volumes.
The second half of our math block was cut short by an unexpected fire drill. For this reason, I have assigned some questions from the textbook as homework (see below).
English Language:
The students continued to work on their persuasive essays in the lab. Because of the early dismissal day on Wednesday, we will miss our next double period in the lab. For this reason, I have extended the due date of the persuasive essay to Wednesday April 20th.
Homework:
Grade 6: MMS p. 227 #1 - 6
Grade 7: MMS p. 102 #1 - 5\
