French language:

The gr6's left for the OEC this morning. Mr. Edward's gr5's will be with us for the next three days:) The gr7's completed the first and second chapters of geography. They learned the first two themes of physical geography, location and region. Instead of a test, they will be completing an inquiry based research project on the causes and effects of the Three Gorges in China.

Gr7's please do not forget your permission forms to visit GBSS on Wednesday, March 9.

Math:

The grade 7's wrote a pop-quiz on determining the area of quadrilaterals, parallelograms, and triangles. They appear to have done very well. We went on to do a lesson on finding the area of different trapezoids by decomposing them into quadrilaterals and triangles, calculating their respective areas, and then adding them all up.
