French:

Students worked on their Science Fair projects. They went on to play with the new Omni ball in gym class!

Math:

The grade 6's got back last week's decimal quiz (and they were all very well done). They then had a lesson  on multiplying whole numbers by 0.1, 0.01, and 0.001. The grade 7's tackled some challenging word problem involving the use of order of operations (BEDMAS).

English Language:

 The students started the period off with a content quiz for chapter 6 of  LOTF. We then moved on to writing, with a lesson on the parts of a persuasive essay.The students examined a sample persuasive essay and identified and labelled its parts (thesis, topic sentences, suppoirting details, etc). For the last part of the period, they worked on crafting their thesis/opinion statements for their "desert island" persuasive essay topics.

Homework:

- Chapter 7 of LOTF read for Wednesday, Feb 10th
- Quickwrite for chapter 6, due Friday, Fen 12th  (Click here for topics)
