French language:
We started the day in the computer lab. Gr6's researched how the government is dealing with First Nation residential school issues. Gr7's researched the causes and effects of specific events from 1715-1850. Then we came back to class, partnered up, and discussed what we did over the holidays. In gym, students participated in basketball relays and played basketball British bulldog.

English Language:
As a short writing task, the students came up with and recorded 3 resolutions for 2016, along with some of their hopes for the new year and reflections on 2015. They are to complete the provided organizer for homework.

Math:
We are continuing on with decimals. The grade 6's worked on rounding decimals to the nearest tenth, hundredth, and thousandth. The grade 7's are learning how to divide with decimals using a strategy that combines rounding, estimating, and long division.

A number of math quizzes were returned to the students today. Please review their results with them.
