French language:

This morning students worked on their Carnaval activity: procedures, materials, and poster. The written component is due on Friday, February 5 (see success criteria in Pages). We will practice how to make crepes, hot chocolate, and maple taffy "la tire"on Monday, February 8. Then on Wednesday, February 10, both French immersion classes will do a dry run of each activity station.

Math:

The grade 7's wrote a quiz on multiplying and dividing with decimals. The grade 6's finished Wednesday's work on estimating sums and differences with decimals. They then had a refresher lesson on adding and subtracting with decimals, and then went on to do some practice from the textbook.

English Language:

The students wrote the content quiz for chapter 4 of LOTF. We then did some reader's theatre, acting out one of the pivotal scenes from the chapter.

Homework:

A decimal homework package went home. It is due Wednesday, Jan. 27th.
