This morning the gr7's attended an assembly on student letters and the gr6's played soccer against Mr. Elkins' gr6's. The gr7 and 8 FI students then joined the gym class. After gym, we started our French read aloud novel, Jeanne d'Arc. We learned about the 100 Year War between England and France over land rights. This is a good introduction what we are going to learn in history this year. EM
In Science, gr6's learned about the 5 kingdoms to classify living things. Then they went outside to classify the trees at MCS. The gr7's went outside to investigate biotic and abiotic interactions in the MCS yard. EM
I am at a course tomorrow. A supply teacher will be in for me in the morning. Students will identify countries on a map for our final map challenge. See Pages on the right. They will also watch two programs, one on biodiversity and another on ecosystems and biomes. EM
