French language:
This morning we walked to GBSS to see a film called, Luna the Whale. This was to celebrate National Film Day and Earth week.
Also we wish the best of luck to Geneva Hindle and Carter Swanson who are competing at the Grey Roots history fair tomorrow.

Math:
Our math block was shortened somewhat due to a later return from the film and an extended recess/nutrition break. The students started working on a new hands-on challenge ("Apartment Architect Challenge") involving surface area and volume of rectangular prisms. They will continue to work on this task for the next few periods, and it will mark the end of our measurement unit. Click here to see the task overview.
English Language:
Today was the last day for students to draft, conference, revise and submit their persuasive essays. I will do my best to have them marked and ready to be returned sometime next week.
